Delays of 30-40us and gate widths of 40-150us used. The authors analyse ambient air, sampled across the US 4th July celebrations to demonstrate measurement of Al, Mg, Na and Ca. They use an algorithm that utilises calibration curves, with a count of spectra containing a peak of the element of interest to derive a concentration for the element in the atmosphere. Detection limits of ppt (Al & Mg) and ppb (Na and Ca) [mass of element/mass of air) are determined. |
