Despite the title, no plutonium is analysed in this study - a plutonium surrogate, Cerium Oxide, is used instead as the base material. Both pellets (using PVA binder) and powder (on double sided tape). Measurements showed a slightly electron number density in the pellets vs the powdered samples. Pellets also showed slightly higher intensity and lower RSDs compare to powder. In general, a ratio of element peak intensity, to total integrated intensity is used for calibrations.
