Femto second Nd:Glass laser and Nano-second Nd:YAG laser used in orthogonal double pulse LIBS configuration (fs beam at 45degrees to sample surface, ns beam focused parallel to the surface). Nd:YAG laser used 45mJ pulses at 180us delay. Gate delays of 0.1-1000us, Gate Widths 0.1-25us used. When 0.75mJ fs pulse used, the best delay to the ns pulse was 10us, when 3mJ fs pulse used, the the optimum delay to the ns pulse was 8us. Calibration curves showed less saturation using the DP configuration.
