LIBS Info: Understanding: Why don't many of the papers have a software listed?
Why don't many of the papers have a software listed?
The intent of the software field is to list (where known) the software used to do the 'useful bit' - the analysis of the spectra to extract the concentration (or other information) of interest.
With a few exceptions (eg Spectrolaser), the software that is provided for many LIBS instruments is primarily for the control of the hardware, with only very limited functionality to process the spectra or perform more than a basic, one element, univariate calibration.
