Double and Single pulse LIBS is used to analyse Aluminium and Steel samples. A key aspect of this work is measurement of LODs at the optimal conditions for Single Pulse and Double Pulse LIBS (which may be different). For this, the Gate Width was kept constant and the Gate Delay and (DP) inter-pulse delay were varied. This work also found different optimal conditions for ionic vs neutral lines.
