| The authors demonstrate a method for pre-concentrating gold onto a planar substrate, which is then analysed using LIBS. This has a applications for field analysis, without the use of dangerous chemicals. Tests with geological sample showed good leaching of gold from the sample (47% or greater). LIBS analysis of rock powder samples failed to detect Au (even at 47ppm) due to the low chance of scanning the rock particles bearing gold. | |||||
