CF LIBS analysis was performed on pellets consisting of different concentrations of 3 different oxide materials - Fe203, MgO and CaO. The authors systematically work on the aspects spectra/experiment that deviate from the 'ideal' - background (by collecting at a delay that has effectively no background), noise (by averaging 500 spectra), spectral response of detector (by measuring independently and correcting), deconvolution of the instrument function (by measurements using Hg lamp) and self absorption (by choosing lines with lower levels sufficiently (according to a detailed criteria)above the ground state)
